The Awkward Writer

I’m Back

 

When I first started my blog, I was posting on the regular. I never had a set schedule for a post because I always wanted to be spontaneous. Plus, I already have enough schedules to uphold to in my life and I wanted my writing to flow and never be forced.  Then unforeseen events happened to keep me from writing as much.

First, I had surgery. Having surgery didn’t keep me from writing but being away from work and the abnormalities of my life made me force to deal with my anxieties. It took me almost 38 years to realize why I was the way that I am. Now I’m trying to find ways to deal with it and I find that my writing helps me cope.

Secondly, I’m still unsure how it happened but I damaged the screen to my laptop. Even though I have other electronic devices (because I’m such a technology nerd) like a touchscreen desktop and numerous tablets. I feel like my laptop gives me more freedom to type with ease. I can lay in my bed and type in my free time, which I prefer to do when typing a blog post or writing in general.

It took me over a month to choose a laptop. I’m really particular about my electronic devices. I thought about getting a MacBook because I was considering switching my phone from an android to an iPhone. But I’m not sure if I’m ready to make that leap yet. I’m so used to my android. I try to get away from what I  consider normal to me and try different things but I end up deviating back to my usual. So, I just stuck with my favorite brand of computers and got an HP. I purchased a red (my favorite color) HP 15″ Touch Laptop.

Now that I have my laptop, I’m ready to get back to what I love to do and that is writing. This is my first actual blog post in over a month and it feels good. I can’t wait to share with you all the posts that I have created in my head and haven’t been able to physically type it. I’m starting on a lot of journeys like dealing with and coming to terms with anxiety, as well as a few business ventures. One that I spoke on in a previous post and can’t wait to share more details with you. Let the adventures begin……

  2. Welcome back! I’m glad to hear that you have found a way to work through your anxiety with writing. Computer screens can be so finicky and even the tiniest thing can break them.

  8. Up to about 5 years ago I found plenty of time to post almost daily on my websites and blogs, but then life intervened, with both work and my home life taking up more of my time.
    Several sites that I was writing articles for ended up closing down, which practically destroyed my online income, and this, combined with the lack of time to revive everything, led to me playing online games to fulfill my time.
    This year I have managed to somewhat resurrect my main blog, and I have also been working to add a lot of content to my humour site as well. I doubt that the past level of earnings will ever return, but it’s good to be back writing again. Now all I need to do is wait for retirement and hope I have time (and enough marbles left) to write the two books I have inside me.
